AI Plagiarism Policy

At Bronx Arena High School

You MUST turn in work that is your OWN. 

• School work that is created using generative AI (generative artificial intelligence) is NOT considered your own original work. Using any AI program/service (such as Chat GPT, Gemini, QuillBot, Grammarly or the like) to create and/or edit your work and pass it off as yours is considered a form of academic dishonesty known as plagiarism.

• There are exceptions in which using generative AI may be appropriate:

  1. If the assignment specifically asks you to use an AI tool for a particular reason or step in the assignment. 

  2. If you and your teacher agree on how you will use AI and you use it accordingly.
